Resources: The “How To’s” of Storytelling
What’s your story? How are you going to tell it? Every story has a medium that serves it best. Some stories are meant to be podcast, allowing the storyteller to easily transport us to other worlds and fantastical places. Other stories are rich in imagery and best served by the power of film. Perhaps a story needs to be a novel where the reader can delve deeply into the psyche of the character. Or, sometimes only a poem or a song can capture the deep emotion of the narrative. Whatever the tale, no matter how it is told, the resources below will help you voice your story in the way you want to tell it.
Many thanks to the professional artists who have shared their expertise and the high school filmmakers and student interviewers who have captured what they have to say.
