The final episode of our “How to Capture Your Family Memories and Preserve Your Family Legacy” series considers how to find a sense of place within your family narrative. Grace, a ninth grader at Stillwater Area High School, reads her original piece “We Remember” intertwining a family love story within her grandfather’s death. Her suggestions to students on how to capture their family stories is good advice to all of us, and that advice is extended to the second half of the show when Brent Peterson from the Washington County Historical Society shares with student host Eric resources on how to discover and explore the setting of the family tree.

Next week on Voices in the Valley we’ll celebrate the 4th of July early with the mayor of Stillwater and a surprise guest all the way from jolly ol’ England.  Voices in the Valley can be heard every Saturday morning at 10:00 on KLBB 1220 AM.
