Today’s episode begins a series called “Stories of Hope.” During this season of giving, we’ll focus on the organizations that serve our St. Croix Valley so well – the nonprofits that strengthen our social services, empower our disadvantaged, support our artists, develop our students and contribute so much to our community. To kick of the series, Brad Kruse, philanthropy director for SRI in Bayport, provides an overview of the nonprofit world. In the second half of the show, Eleanor, a ninth grade student at Stillwater Junior High, interviews Calyssa Hall, artistic director of the Zephyr Theatre, and receives an update on this new endeavor.
This episode of Voices in the Valley is made possible thanks to the support of real estate consultant Wendy Gimpel and Lake Elmo Bank.
Next week on Voices in the Valley our Stories of Hope series continues as we hear from Evolve Adoption and Family Services and ESR, an organization supporting the employment choices of adults with disabilities. Voices in the Valley is broadcast every Saturday morning at 10:00 on The Club 1220.
