You never know what could happen or where you might end up when you begin to research the family tree. With Martin from Designs of Sweden as a good luck charm, Steph calls Sweden and finds out about new opportunities. Genealogist Rhonda Serafini Dunlap provides excellent tips on how to branch out your family tree. The episode ends with Stillwater Area High School student Eric joining his grandfather Judd Orff. Eric explains how meaningful his own family tree is to him and an interview with his ninety-five year old great grandma Helen brings us back to a different age and time.  Judd finishes the show with a beautiful rendition of the song Precious Memories.

Our family stories matter. They help us remember who we are, where we came from and why it is important. Voices in the Valley’s series on “How to Capture your Family Stories and Preserve your Family Legacy” continues.  Next week Steph interviews Cameron Kelly about his family’s use of multimedia in saving the family stories and student host Emma converses with Katlyn and her mom about their book Katlyn Conquers the World.  Voices in the Valley can be heard every Saturday morning at 10:00 on KLBB 1220 AM.
