In this special edition of Voices in the Valley, Cross, programming director at the Mid-Continent Oceanographic Institute (MOI), joins Steph as co-host and shares an extraordinary book titled UP, UP AND AWAY. MOI helped develop this collection of original writing by fifth-grade students from Farnsworth Aerospace. Aja, one of the authors in the book, comes on the show with her family to share her experience and an excerpt from her writing. Then, during the Barn Raising Moment, Debra Korluka from the Lyn Olson Medical Crisis Program provides valuable information on how families struggling with financial obligations due to a medical crisis can receive help.
Next week on Voices in the Valley, we consider the creativity and inspiration behind musical composition and welcome the Shire’s Audio Drama Team to learn about their experience writing and producing the radio play “Don’t Cry Over Cold Tea”, the first episode in the podcast series HUSH. Voices in the Valley can be heard every Saturday morning at 10:00 on KLBB 1220 AM.
