Well, they do say variety is the spice of life, and this episode of Voices in the Valley is likely to bring some excitement. Broadcast every Saturday morning at 10:00 on KLBB 1220 AM, Voices in the Valley uses every strategy it can to make learning how to write a novel entertaining. You just never know how far we’ll go in the pursuit of art, and certainly, this episode pushes the line of crazy.

“Oooh, Ahhh… Yum!” How to Describe Details:

One word describes this show: hilarity. Steph@storyark.org tries to emphasize the importance of using the five senses when describing details in stories, and the game gets a bit out of hand for Dina. Brandon from Candyland joins the fun bringing a box full of candy for student hosts Alex and Thomas to sample through. Even with mouths full of chocolate, the boys manage to describe in ways sure to become classic.

Next week on Voices in the Valley things take a more serious turn as we consider how to take risks in our writing. Regina Peluso, Artistic Director of Collide Theatrical, joins us to discuss the artists’ journey, and tenth grader Emma courageously shares her competition winning narrative about the last goodbye to her dying father. Join us at 10 AM on KLBB 1220 every Saturday morning.
